About us
The Samarra Institute for Shia Studies is a research institution focused initially on exploring the belief in Mahdism within Islam, particularly within the Twelver Shia sect. It aims to study related areas such as challenging thoughts on Mahdism, the history and geography of the city of Samarra and other locations associated with the Twelfth Imam of the Shia, the seminary of Samarra and its impact on Shia Islam, literature pertaining to this segment of the Shia faith, and more. In its second phase, the institute plans to delve into other intellectual and historical characteristics of the sect and produce credible research within the academic tradition of Islamic studies.
